Today we broke ground on the new flower garden. I didn't want anything too big, just a little rounded corner next to the front porch steps. Something I can manage. Wilson handles nearly 3,000 acres on a daily basis - I just want like 16 square feet.
Last night we went to Lowes for soil, peat moss, landscape bricks, some hose connections, labels, Miracle Grow, some seeds, a small azalea bush, and what I thought was a ton of annuals.
Landon and I decided where to place the bricks and started digging out the grass. It was hard stinking work! By the time we were finished, Landon looked up at me and said "Wow, Mommy! You're sweating!" Guess he's never seen me do that.
I am actually feeling better, having gotten my hands dirty and gotten a little sunlight.
